Dan Sames

Senior Consultant

Dan is currently a Senior Lecturer in Planning and course leader for the Property Development and Planning course at Oxford Brookes University, and a former councillor in Oxfordshire.

As a councillor he has 25 years of experience in local government as a Town Councillor in Bicester for 24 years, Cherwell District Council for 20 years and Oxfordshire County Council for four years. He served on the executive of Cherwell District Council for five years including one year as the Lead Member for Planning.

Between 2014 and 2023 Dan was a director of Graven Hill Village Development Company responsible for delivering Britain’s largest self-build housing scheme.
