Guy has a background in town planning and stakeholder engagement, with experience working in local government, planning consultancies and public affairs.
He studied for a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning at Oxford Brookes University before beginning his career as a planning officer at Ealing Council. In this role he assessed planning applications, worked with applicants and consultants, and gained a strong understanding of development management and how planning decisions are made within local authorities.
Guy later moved into the private sector as a planning consultant, where he worked on a variety of developments and planning applications with a range of consultant teams. During this time, he became a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
He next moved to Stantec and later Thorncliffe to start his career in public consultation and stakeholder engagement, where he has worked on projects including residential developments, renewable energy and community facilities.
Guy remains passionate about developing his career in stakeholder engagement and public affairs, supporting projects through the planning process.
