Peter has a long and proven track record, in both the public and private sectors, as a Chartered Surveyor, a partner in a family farm, a district and county councillor and as MP for Waveney in Suffolk from 2010 to 2024.
He has extensive knowledge and understanding of regeneration and diversification in both urban and rural settings, recognises the importance of the built environment in securing economic growth, community cohesion and environmental enhancement and advocates a pragmatic long-term approach to the Net Zero transition, so that businesses and communities fully benefit from the opportunities that arise. As an MP, he secured approx. £325 million of funding for local infrastructure, skills and innovation projects that promote regeneration.
Peter is fully experienced in navigating the legislative process through proactive engagement in the various stages of Parliamentary bills, as well as having a full understanding of land use planning, construction and nature regeneration as a Chartered Surveyor and farmer.
In his consultancy role, Peter will strive to achieve the best long term sustainable outcomes for clients. In doing so, he will draw on his experience of managing a wide range of different stakeholders, tackling and finding solutions to challenges in a strategic, well-researched and ethical way.
